Dog wheezing

Question:

I don’t know if this is a side effect from the Glaucoma meds or not, but two mornings ago my dog woke up wheezing and trying to vomit. Later she did and it was a clear fluid. This morning she did the same thing although not quite as bad. She is still wheezing when she is resting or sleeping.

you need to get a vet check. Wheezing while sleeping could be a sign of upper respitory infection or congestion. I wouldn’t let this go another day.

It seems to have cleared up yesterday. I checked with a couple of vets who gave her a an exam today, and was told that it may have been a type of kennel cough. She stayed overnight in the hospital about three weeks ago.

didn’t you say the dog was on antibiotics? If so that is good because the Kennel cough would require those in order to clear up.

Response:

No, she’s on Glaucoma meds. The vet didn’t seemed too concerned about it. She seems ok now.
