O.T. Kinda "Lasek"
Question:
Hi gang! Happy Thursday from sunny California….ooops it’s cloudy today. Has anyone had Laser or sometimes I see it called Lasik surgery for your eyes? I wondered if it would work for us MS’ers or if Dr.’s would even try it on us? My eyes are okay, no damage from MS, however I’ve worn glasses since pre-teens. Jus’ curious, Chrys and coke bottle glasses
Response:
Hi Chrys, I believe the laser surgery is used if your eye problems are consisted of near-sightedness. Or far-sigtedness. I don’t believe it has anything to do with diseases of the eyes. So if your problem only has to do with correction of prescription glasses but not from an illness such as optic neuritis or glaucoma or other eye diseases than the laser surgery might work for you. But I’m not really sure if I have the facts straight. So you should get it checked out. <smiling> Take care, Dawn
