Response:

Hi All, This week in Chat Dr. Rick Wilson from Wills Eye Hospital was there and the Eyeguy from Florida was on board.  The room had several new people.   One of the topics we talked about was the frequency in which visual fields should be performed.  According to Dr. Rick it depends upon how much  chance of progression there is.  You can get  them as often as every 4 months but usually every 6 months is the max and every 12 years is the usual for folks that are probably stable.   Also, most agencies in the U.S. fell someone is blind if their visual field is less than 10 degrees. Another topic was my impending surgery that Dr. Rick will be performing on the 14th.  It is wierd to have such access to your physician but I like it.  Keep you all posted.  Thanks to the group for all you support during this time.  It means alot and really does help to deal. Sorry to say I will miss next weeks Chat, but will be back the following week hopefully with good news.   Vivian wills-glaucoma.org/support.htm
