Do magnets work
Question:
heee heee. Apparently you don’t know the difference between mind and cranium health nut, you seem to get a kick out of attempting to ridicule others.
No. Hardly. Only obnoxious people. In all seriousness I have a passion for optimum health and longevity. I was responding to a crack made at me….
Response:
Yes, I’ve made $1.37. So that invalidates my desire to make them available to people?
I wouldn’t have a problem with your posts if you had a sig. file attached with your URL. Post replys that respond to people and your sig. file is automatically attached. No problem by me. The posts that do give me a problem are ones that out of the blue have nothing more to say than "come see my website – I have books to sell’. The other thing that happened was I replied to someone’s post which mentioned Gary Null. I changed the topic in the thread subject line. All I wanted was to know if Gary Null was a credible author and if it was worth 40 bucks for his new book. Although the thread originally was about magnets I only asked about GN"S credibility. You responded about magnets and your website and others responded about how much cheaper it was to order books on line – not answering my question. If I wanted to know more about magnets I would have asked. If I wanted to know about discounts at online bookstores I would have asked. Arghhhh!
Response:
This is complete and utter bull. I’ve made a whopping $1.37 "selling" books via Amazon.com.
We can’t help your not making enough income… Perhaps there are more enlightened poeple than you think. Talk about something useful like nutrition… not magnet therapy.

The _point_ is, as if you cared, the books are not _intended_ as a source of income. Perhaps there are more enlightened poeple than you think.
I hope there is someone enlightened enough to know what to mean by that non sequitur. Oh, I get it, you think it’s because only unenlightened people would have an interest in learning more about magnets. It seems your light has a very narrow beam. Talk about something useful like nutrition… not magnet therapy.
There are many threads in this group which I do not read. You might want to skip the ones that involve magnets.
Response:
x-no-archive: yes My mind is WIDE OPEN. That explains it. Your brains have fallen out

Response:
You wouldn’t happen to be selling those books for profit on your web site, would you? Nah…..
ACtually, She isn’t selling them at all… just info about the books is given on the website. Your cynicsm leaves a lot to be desired. Susan

I’m not sure but commercial links do pay. And she does post her web page every chance she gets. Even posts replys that are off topic so she can plug her home page.

Your lack of a reasonable debate leaves a lot to be desired. There is no cynicism here. I think you meant skepticism. Some people (those undereducated in science or just trying to make a buck) are very gullible to technobabble.

There’s a newsgroup on magnetic wellness that you’re welcome to read. I’ll send you the info separately. I’ve had fantastic results using magnets. Posting any questions about them on this newsgroup will only inflame people who think it’s quackery. A pity that you got attacked in the meantime. There are articles at my web site, as well as info on books. — Barb Levy Seattle, Washington http://www.halcyon.com/blev/health

My guess is that, somehow without even having to "check it out," the two of you just knew this to be true. Guess what? When you click on a book at her web site you are transferred to Amazon.com. Vigilantes only accept their own biases as truth–all else is bunk. Their knowledge springs from some fount of "a priori" belief that also seems to give a malicious voice to those that drink of it waters.

I hear magnet treatment works wonders for all ailments from pain to glaucoma. Is this correct? If so where do I get magnets and what should I expect to pay? Tx Colin
Don’t go blind running an experiment like this… i.e treat your glaucoma with eye drops don’t sit back and apply a magnet for a week.

colin, Magnets are a wonderful technology but they are not magic. If you check this newsgroups postings you will find recommendations on good books related to magnetic therapy and how to use them effectively. You will also find the posting of numerous studies regarding magnets. I think you will find it interesting reading. I weaR a magnetic sleep mask, in addition to other magnets. I also sleep on a magnetic sleep system. My most recent visit to the ophthalmologist shows my vision had gotten better and my prescription lenses don’t need to be as strong!

It would be most ethical for you to only quote one person at a time. The first quote was not made by me. Why don’t you check out some books on magnets and how they have worked for so by the way, the magnets used for health approximate the earth’s natural energy draining EMF!

Stick with what you know best! Magnetherapy has helped many people and it is widely used in the vetinary world – sometimes you need to hope that pain relief can be found when orthodox treatments rot you from the inside – open your mind and try it yourself!
Response:
.very, very different from the energy draining EMF!
EMF would be Electro-Magnetic field

Duh. It was your knowledge of physics that I was questioning. Namely how EMF drains energy. And what kind of energy you’re talking about. hd

I’ll stick to my holistic diet, stretching, and exercise. My mind is WIDE OPEN. By the way have you taken physics, chemistry? to any decent extent? Fortunately my good health prevents the disorders that require drugs OR quackery.
