Eyes?
Question:
I am down to 20 mg pred every other day…due for next Remicade next week…I had to remove my contacts 2 days ago…What exactly do ya’ll experience when you have eye problems? I just thought I had maybe caught a "bug" from one of the many kids that are in and out of my house. My eye is "goopy" amd irritated and the vision is slightly blurry. Thanx ya’ll! You are lifesavers! eMi I get eye trouble on steroids. I believe they increase the pressure inside
the eyeball (like glaucoma) I know I once flew whilst on Prednisolone and I thought my eyes would explode out of my head. The pilot explained that the cabin was not pressurised to sea level pressure but to approx 6000 ft making the pressure in my eyeballs seem even higher. I spent most of the flight on painkillers! eMi- I have the same problem with my eyes. They are really dry (one more than the other). I haven’t been able to wear my contacts much lately. My eye doc checked and blamed the pred…. he gave me something called GenTeal eye drops put out by CibaVision for the daytime, and a gel to put in at night. When I put the gel in before bed, I can usually wear the contacts the next day without any problems. Now, if only I would remember to use them every single night!!! Hope you feel better soon. When I was on a hight dose of prednesone (60mg), my vision was blurry and my eyes hurt. Although I must say, the symptoms you described I experienced exactly last week – from allergies. * Sent from AltaVista http://www.altavista.com Where you can also find related Web Pages, Images, Audios, Videos, News, and Shopping. the pred really dried my eyes out, which left me with those exact symptoms. Believe it or not goopiness can be a sign of dryness. Always check with your eye dr though as pred can cause some yucky eye problems. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -I am down to 20 mg pred every other day…due for next Remicade next week…I had to remove my contacts 2 days ago…What exactly do ya’ll experience when you have eye problems?
