Hi! Dr. Wilson was back in the CHAT room last night.  We had several new people in the room..   We had a very interesting conversation about birthmarks and glaucoma. Many of the group wondered how a birthmark on the lid could cause glaucoma.  Rick explained that the vessels are not just on the lid but on the  surface of the eye. The vessels have an abnormally high pressure in  them which makes it hard for the eye to drain into them and the IOP goes   up.  Good luck to another friend in PA. Some in the room also made bets on my check up tonite, well we all won.  My pressures were 11 and 12!  Yippie, now I go for a field in 2 weeks to either confirm or dispute my noticeable blind spots.   Talk to you later and stay tuned for the Archives of Searchlight on Glaucoma coming soon to wills-glaucoma.org!
